Booking terms

Once you have decided on an event, you can register using the online form for the respective event or using the general online form (German only). Alternatively, you can send us an e-mail: weiterbildung(at)ipk.fraunhofer.de.

In the interest of planning security, please register no later than four weeks before the start of the event. We will then send you a confirmation of your registration. For events with a limited number of participants, places will be allocated according to the order in which registrations are received. If the event is already fully booked, we will inform you about possible alternative dates.

By enroling for one of our events, you agree that your personal data will be stored electronically by the organizer. We will treat your personal data confidentially and, in accordance with data protection regulations from our data protection policy, use it exclusively for the purpose of organizing Fraunhofer IPK events and providing future information about the institute's services. You have the right to revoke your consent to the storage and use of your data at any time and to object to receiving information materials.

At the end of the event you will receive an electronic invoice for the event fee. The event fee is tax-free according to § 4 Nr. 22a UStG and usually includes the event itself, the documents and catering.
We offer discounts for students on request. Travel and accommodation costs are not included in the price. If you would like to book accommodation, we are happy to recommend a hotel in our vicinity.

Cancelations can be sent in writing, by letter, fax or e-mail. Cancelations are free of charge up to four weeks before the start of the event. If we receive your cancelation up to one week before the start of the event, cancellation fees amounting to 50 percent of the total amount will be due. Thereafter, we will charge the full price of the event. Alternatively, you can nominate a substitute participant from your company.

Fraunhofer IPK reserves the right to cancel events if the number of participants is too low or force majeure occurs. In this case we will offer you an alternative date if possible. If there is no suitable alternative date, you can withdraw from the booking free of charge. A claim for reimbursement of travel and accommodation costs as well as loss of working hours is excluded.
