Fraunhofer IPK will be exhibiting at Hannover Messe from April 22 to 26, 2024. At the Fraunhofer booth in hall 2, stand B24, we will be presenting exhibits from three projects: Battery Pass, BioFusion 4.0 and Gaia-X.
Starting in 2027, battery passports will be required for all large batteries introduced to the European market. The battery pass should provide selected business and sustainability information on an individual battery to the public, economic operators, and regulators, initiating an era of digitalized, much more transparent and efficient product value chains, in line with EU laws. The Gaia-X initiative is developing an open-source framework for a federated and secure data infrastructure that enables the trusted exchange of data and ensures the digital sovereignty of data owners as well as the interoperability of different platforms. The demonstrator showcases a drone selection service for firefighting missions in the context of the project Gaia-X 4 AMS. It illustrates how new data-driven business models can be enabled through data ecosystems based on Gaia-X and collaborative digital twins, and how multiple partners connect through Gaia-X data ecosystems.
