Digital Twins Ownership across the Product Life Cycle

Webinar

Who Owns the Digital Twin? Ensuring Data Consistency and Ownership in Catena-X and Beyond

Digital Twins form the basis of digital data ecosystems such as Catena-X and Aerospace-X. They are created by anyone who wants to provide information in the data ecosystem. However, product information needs to be updated throughout its life cycle. If the original distributor does not provide this information, the following questions arise:

  • What are the biggest challenges when it comes to the ownership of Digital Twins?
  • How can digital consistency be ensured in the data ecosystem?
  • How can data ownership be ensured in this context?

The aim of the webinar is to provide current approaches to answering these questions using Catena-X as an example. Approaches to updating Digital Twins in a distributed environment will be presented and evaluated. Participants will learn how Digital Twins can be updated in a multi-party data ecosystem with relevant information about the associated product without relinquishing data ownership or affecting digital consistency.
