Model preparation

The engineering workplaces of the future will be based on new methods in the areas of technology, organization and processes – such as the use of artificial intelligence, novel virtual techniques, model-based solutions and new collaborative forms of work. We can empower you to offer your employees a productive environment in which they work hand in hand with new intelligent systems.

Virtual and Augmented Reality

Virtual engineering requires intuitive handling and visualization of product models in the early development phases. To this end, we are constantly developing projection-based 3D visualization, 3D interaction technologies and haptic interaction solutions and are opening up new VR application possibilities in the areas of fly-and-walk-through for product and factory development.

Multimodal experience

The integration of virtual product models with haptic feedback systems enables products to be experienced at every stage of their life cycle. With Smart Hybrid Prototyping, products can be multimodally validated at early stages, with mechanical, electrical and control functions being vividly simulated. At the same time, all stakeholders and affected parties are involved in decision-making processes - right through to customers and users.

Collaborative development

Product development means collaboration within a company and across company boundaries. The working environment of development and production must be prepared accordingly.

Designing development environments holistically

Digital value creation is determined by the totality of the development environment. In particular, when the necessary tools - such as MBSE, VR, AR and smart-hybrid prototypes - reliably mesh, immersive collaboration across borders and language barriers becomes possible. Moreover, all aspects of the product development process then remain constantly visible in the decision-making process.

Digital workplace of the future

We place people at the center of a working world defined by intelligent systems and new forms of cooperation. We design workplaces according to their needs and in harmony with their tasks. To this end, we design individual work environments in which adaptive assistance around an intelligent product model enables new forms of product development.

Human Centered Engineering

For the new digital workplaces to be accepted, they must offer more than the integration of modern technologies. They must address context, goals, tasks and ways of working in order to support familiar processes. The goal of Human Centered Engineering is therefore to understand how developers work and to design new development tools in such a way that they support established ways of doing things.
