R&D Expertise

The focus of the Medical Technology division is on development and clinical evaluation of software and hardware components for image-guided and minimal-invasive surgery. Our work is devided into six areas of expertise:

Intraoperative Imaging – from 3D image reconstruction to design and development of 3D X-ray systems.

Instrument Navigation – from integration of common navi­gation technologies to the development of new miniaturized instrument navigations.

Surgical Instruments – from modification and clinical evaluation of your instruments to development of new prototypes for minimal-invasive surgery.

Medical Software – from development of new 3D image reconstruction and visualization algorithms to integrated software platforms for interventional therapy.

Patient Specific Implants – from generation of patient specific CAD/CAM models to the fabrication of complex surgical tools and implants.

Quality Management – from advisory services for Quality Management as per DIN ISO 9001 and DIN ISO 13485 to support for product accreditation as per the Medical Devices Act (MPG).
